Wolters Kluwer: Practice and Learn Case Studies
Monarch Media partnered with Wolters Kluwer to create a series of interactive “Practice and Learn” case studies for nursing students. The online activities were a key component of a hybrid learning strategy designed for students that need the flexibility to earn their degrees while working full or part-time.
Monarch Media’s team collaborated with Wolters Kluwer editorial team and subject matter experts to provide the learning design strategy, instructional design, graphic design, and engineering for about 180 case studies.
The case studies provide the student with foundational knowledge on each subject before taking the student through a highly-interactive, case-based approach to learning. Each activity tells the story of a nurse caring for a patient and challenges the learner to solve problems and make decisions regarding the patient’s care. In addition, each case study is scored to give instructors the flexibility to assign case studies as at-home practice or assessments.
