Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital
“Just in time” educational materials for complex care
The Self-Management Team at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital needed to prototype and build a library of online educational materials for parents, and chose Monarch Media as their partner to envision and develop the solution. They knew the solution needed to provide critical “just in time” support for parents, and it needed to address key factors such as issues of cultural diversity, multi-lingual support, socio-economic diversity, as well as overall health literacy, with a focus on self-management for those dealing with complex care.
To provide a solution that met these needs we based our design strategy on differentiated learning theory in order to meet the unique needs of the parents. We conducted audience analysis, and used iterative prototyping and testing to ensure we arrived at a solution that provided the critical “just in time” support the parents needed. To increase the effectiveness of the solution we designed the library to be mobile-friendly, and easily accessible online from the doctor’s office, or printed for those who needed physical copies.
If you would like more details about this solution, or if you have similar needs that you think Monarch Media can support please Contact us. We love to listen.
